Nikko AM Asia appoints new president

Japan-based Nikko Asset Management Group (Nikko AM) has announced the immediate appointment of Eleanor Seet as president and executive director of Nikko Asset Management Asia Limited (Nikko AM Asia), formerly DBS Asset Management (DBSAM) which Nikko AM completed the acquisition of this month.

Seet, who replaces Deborah Ho who was CEO of DBSAM for the past four years, has been given the responsibility for driving the growth of Nikko AM in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Blair Pickerell, Nikko AM’s Head of Asia, commented: “Under her leadership, I believe we will see significant investment growth in our business in the region.”

“It is a tremendous opportunity to join Nikko AM at this exciting time,” said Seet. “Nikko AM’s leadership team is comprised of industry veterans who are clearly passionate and committed to delivering these solutions to grow the region’s wealth.”

Two other appointments have also been made by Nikko AM Asia: Teck Keng Neo as head of middle and back office, and Rodney Lim as head of compliance.
